Univox Hi-Flier Phase IV 70s - White MIJ 4 Offset Guitar 32412

Up for sale is a late-70s Univox Hi-Flier Phase IV guitar in white finish. Rough & ready condition has a lot of character, looks like something Kurt Cobain himself would have liked to play. Weight = 6lbs, 3oz.

Condition
Cosmetically this Univox has seen action and the pictures show lots of dings from playing. There are also two cracks on either side of the neck joint. I have tested it and there is no movement there. Frets show grooving and wear (see pic). However, after setup the guitar still plays great. But if you're someone who likes perfect frets this may not be for you.

Sound & Playability
I believe the reason these are still very popular is mostly due the pickups. They are simply great sounding humbuckers. Sound better than lots of high dollar Fenders and Gibsons. Also they happen to look really cool. They have a thin and light poplar body and nice feeling necks. The Phase IV may have the best sustain due to the Gibson-style wraparound bridge. Makes the most solid string to body contact of all Hi-Flier guitars. This one plays just great. It's gonna be a lot of fun for someone. NO case. Cherry on top is my detailed setup and bulletproof packing. Thanks!

Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Thanks!

Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case.
